Bournemouth could be forced to cash in on Tottenham target Lloyd Kelly in the January window, sources have told Football Insider.

The 24-year-old is out of contract in less than 12 months, putting interested clubs like Spurs on high alert.

It is believed Bournemouth could accept a cut-price offer in the winter window if they can't convince Kelly to commit to a new deal in the meantime.

Football Insider revealed on Friday (8 September) that Liverpool also have an active interest in the former England Under-21 international.

Kelly can discuss a pre-contract agreement with foreign clubs from 1 January, allowing him to walk away from the Vitality Stadium when his deal expires in June 2024.

Premier League clubs like Liverpool and Tottenham are ready to battle to keep him in England, ensuring Bournemouth recoup a fee for the centre-back.

He cost the Cherries a reported £13million in 2019 when he joined from Bristol City.

Kelly has made two starts for Andoni Iraola's side so far this season, playing 149 minutes in total.

He played 24 times last term, with an ankle injury preventing him from being an ever-present as Bournemouth avoided relegation to the Championship.

The Bristol-born ace can play as a centre-back and as a left-back.

Tottenham

Tottenham were in the market for a new defender in the summer window, but couldn't offload out-of-favour star Davinson Sanchez in time to make a move happen.

Spurs have since sold the Colombia international to Galatasaray, while fringe ace Eric Dier could be the subject of new interest in the January window.
