Brighton will consider a big-money offer for Man United and Liverpool target Alexis Mac Allister in the summer window, sources have told Football Insider.

The 24-year-old will have two years left on his Seagulls contract in June and the Premier League high-flyers are reluctant to let him enter the final 12 months of his deal.

Mac Allister can negotiate a pre-contract agreement to join a foreign club for free in January 2025 - and that is something Brighton are desperate to prevent.

It is believed the south coast club will look at every option in a bid to keep the midfielder at the club long-term but accept a big-money exit may be inevitable this summer.

He is already one of the highest earners at the Amex Stadium - but sources say top clubs are likely to blow Brighton out of the water by increasing the midfielder's wages.

Mac Allister currently earns a reported wage of £50,000-a-week.

The World Cup winner is believed to be ready to play at a higher level following his triumph with Argentina in Qatar last year (2022).

Versatile midfielder Mac Allister has notched ten goals and two assists across 29 appearances in all competitions this season.

The 24-year-old has made 101 appearances for Brighton since arriving in 2019, registering 18 goals and eight assists.

Man United sit fourth in the Premier League and are well placed to return to the Champions League in the 2023-24 campaign.

Meanwhile, Liverpool and Chelsea face a late-season fight to secure a top-seven finish after disappointing seasons.
