Crystal Palace are confident of fending off interest from Man City and Chelsea in star man Michael Olise, sources have told Football Insider.

Meanwhile, sources also told Football Insider (25 July) that Chelsea also have a concrete interest in bringing former youth star Olise back to the club.

It is believed the France Under-21 international has a £35million release clause in his contract at Selhurst Park.

However, a well-placed source has told Football Insider that Palace are talking to the player's representatives about a new agreement which could wipe out that clause.

Olise is content in south London and values regular first-team football highly at this stage of his development.

Palace are understandably keen to keep the attacker around following Wilfried Zaha's departure earlier this month and are confident of fending off interest from England's elite sides for now.

Olise, who is out of contract in June 2026, is currently out injured and may not return to action until mid-September.

The left-footed right-winger notched two goals and 11 assists in 40 appearances across all competitions last season.

He was on the youth books at both Man City and Chelsea before leaving for first-team football at Reading.

Crystal Palace

The London-born talent, 21, enjoyed two good seasons with the Royals before joining Crystal Palace in 2021 for a reported £8million.

He has since established himself as one of the league’s most exciting starlets.
