Everton are set to announce the signing of Arnaut Danjuma on Tuesday, sources have told Football Insider.

The Merseysiders have completed the formalities of the capture of the Villarreal forward on a loan deal.

Danjuma has been registered and will be available to play Everton's next match against Arsenal on Saturday week (4 February).

A new manager is likely to be in place by that point following the sacking of Frank Lampard on Monday.

Brentford boss Thomas Frank was also approached about the role - but is not keen on leaving the London club for Merseyside.

Danjuma will become the first January signing at Everton.

The Toffees' relegation rivals have also been busy in the mid-season window - with Southampton, West Ham, Bournemouth, and Leeds United all already strengthening their ranks.

Netherlands international Danjuma has notched six goals in 17 appearances so far this season.

His first season at Villarreal was more productive - as he registered 16 goals and four assists in 34 games.

The winger is no stranger to the Premier League - having made 14 appearances for Bournemouth in the English top flight during the 2019-20 campaign.

He exploded into life in the Championship in the following season after the Cherries' relegation.

Everton

Everton are 19th in the Premier League – two points adrift of danger.

They face Arsenal, Liverpool, and Leeds United in their next three league outings.
