Fulham are preparing to offer Antonee Robinson a new contract as they look to fend off interest from Newcastle United, sources have told Football Insider.

The left-back, who is also wanted by Man City, AC Milan and Inter Milan, is currently only contracted until June 2024.

Robinson, 25, has impressed for Fulham this season and currently earns a reported wage of just £25,000-a-week.

Magpies scouts have regularly watched the United States international this season and have been impressed with his performances.

It is believed that Robinson would be enticed by the prospect of playing Champions League football - a feat which Newcastle are currently well-placed to achieve this season.

Dan Burn is the current first-choice option for Eddie Howe after he displaced summer-of-2022 signing Matt Targett earlier this season.

Robinson starred for the US at the World Cup in Qatar - playing every minute before their elimination against the Netherlands in the Round of 16.

He has started all but one game for Fulham in the Premier League this season as they chase a European berth of their own.

Left-back is not the only area on the summer shortlist at Newcastle.

Football Insider revealed on Friday (17 February) that a centre-back partner for Sven Botman will also be targetted this summer.
