Sources: Lampard agrees Norwich City deal
Norwich City have reached an agreement with Frank Lampard to be their new manager, Football Insider understands.
This site broke the news on Sunday afternoon that the Canaries had opened talks with Lampard about replacing Daniel Farke.
A City source has told Football Insider that terms have now been agreed with Lampard after he was offered the post.
He is set to put pen to paper on a contract and be announced as the manager of the relegation-threatened Premier League oufit.
It means a return to management for the 43-year-old 10 months after he was sacked by Chelsea.
Norwich began their search for a new manager after sacking Farke in the immediate wake of their victory over Brentford last Saturday.
Key to the club's hunt has been to secure a manager who can work with the squad and maintain the attacking playing style implemented by the German.
Lampard made it clear during talks he wants to take over at Norwich and return to management at the top level.
His previous posts have been at Chelsea and Derby County, who he led to the Championship play-off final in his single season at the helm.
Farke was immensely popular among supporters for the club's two Championship-winning campaigns in three years but paid the price for the team's Premier League troubles.
Norwich secured their first win of the season last Saturday but went into the international break anchored at the foot of the table.
They have just five points from 11 league fixtures and are five points adrift of safety.
