Leeds have beaten the transfer deadline to sign Forest Green Rovers youngster Jordan Stevens, Football Insider sources understand.

A number of Premier League clubs have been tracking Stevens, but Leeds pulled out all the stops to sign the talented midfielder.

A well-placed source has told Football Insider that Leeds have agreed an undisclosed fee with Forest Green Rovers and he will initially link wth Leeds' Under-23s side

Stevens, who has come through the ranks at Forest Green, has made 15 appearances in all competitions this season and scored one goal.

Leeds have made a number of additions to their Under-23 team in recent weeks and Stevens is the latest new arrival with the club hopeful he will become a future first-team regular.
