Liverpool target Alexis Mac Allister is the high-profile star most likely to leave Brighton this summer as his contract dwindles, sources have told Football Insider.

Those with knowledge of the 24-year-old's situation have revealed that the Seagulls are "vulnerable" to bids for the World Cup winner as his contract enters its final two years in June.

Liverpool, Man City and Serie A giants Juventus are understood to be the frontrunners to sign Mac Allister in the off-season.

A number of the Seagulls' top-rated stars are wanted by Premier League giants following their impressive 2022-23 campaign - which sees them sit seventh in the table.

The likes of Moises Caicedo, Kaoru Mitoma and Evan Ferguson are also attracting attention.

Caicedo has already agreed to sign a new contract at the Amex Stadium - while Mitoma and Ferguson are set for imminent talks about a potential extension.

Solly March has also extended his deal until 2026 following interest from Newcastle United.

Brighton are known for getting top dollar for their best talents if they won't pledge their futures through a new contract, and Mac Allister's situation is not believed to be any different.

Marc Cucurella, Ben White and Yves Bissouma are among those to leave the south coast for healthy fees.

Liverpool

Mac Allister has managed nine goals and two assists in 26 appearances across all competitions for Brighton this term.

He started in all but one game as Argentina lifted the World Cup in Qatar last winter (2022).
