Liverpool could sign Sparta Prague sensation Adam Hlozek for just £15million this summer, Football Insider has learned.

He is regarded as an outstanding young striker capable of making the step up from the unheralded Czech top flight to the Premier League.

A Liverpool source has told Football Insider that the club would need to pay around £15million, possibly climbing to £20m, for Hlozek.

There is also interest in him from other leading European clubs as Sparta gear up for another big-money sale.

The Czech Republic outfit sold Tomas Soucek and Vladimir Coufal to West Ham last year for combined fees of more than £20m.

Both players have been huge hits in the Premier League and alerted Premier League clubs to the potential value of the new generation of Czech stars.

Hlozek has already been capped twice by the national team and has also played 78 times for Sparta since graduating from their youth ranks.

He missed a big chunk of this season with a broken foot but has still scored five goals and provided eight assists from 16 matches.

Last season, he netted nine times and supplied a further nine assists from his 39 games.

Those are remarkably high numbers for a young centre-forward who does not turn 19 until July.

Anfield talent spotters rate Hlozek highly and have delivered glowing reports to the club's recruitment department.
