Portsmouth have agreed to sign Arsenal sensation Miguel Azeez, Football Insider can exclusively reveal.

The 18-year-old midfielder is undergoing a medical today with the League One big hitters as they put the finishing touches to the move.

An Arsenal source has told Football Insider that the club have accepted Portsmouth’s loan offer for Azeez.

The youngster, who has already played for the Arsenal first team despite his age, is regarded as a huge talent.

He has been capped by England at Under-18 level and is a mainstay of the Gunners Under-23s side.

Azeez played seven minutes against Dundalk in the Europa League group stage last season.

He also featured on the bench for a Gunners Premier League game against Sheffield United last season.

This season he has already played two games in the Premier League 2 and has bagged himself a goal.

During his time in the youth ranks at Arsenal, the midfielder has played several roles.

He has featured primarily as an out and out central midfield player but has also been asked to cover the defence and serve as an attacking midfielder.

Pompey have had a strong start to their League One season and currently sit third in the table.

They have won three of their opening four games and are level on points with league leaders Sheffield Wednesday.

Azeez joins William Saliba and Dejan Iliev as players who will spend this season away from the Emirates.

The Gunners face Man City this weekend while Pompey travel to face Wigan Athletic.
