PSV Eindhoven will only accept a "crazy" Tottenham or Brentford offer for Johan Bakayoko, sources have told Football Insider.

But a well-placed source has now told Football Insider that it will be difficult to seal a mid-season deal for Bakayoko - unless PSV receive a "crazy" offer.

Tottenham

The Eredivisie leaders have impressed in the Champions League and have booked their place in the knockout stage with one game to spare.

Their success domestically and in Europe means they are reluctant to let the speedster depart.

Tottenham are eager to land attacking reinforcements for manager Ange Postecoglou in January amid injuries to the likes of Richarlison and Manor Solomon.

Brentford are long-term admirers of Bakayoko and attempted to sign him during the summer, but he opted to remain in the Netherlands.

Bakayoko, whose contract expires in June 2027, has notched four goals and 12 assists in all competitions this season.

Tottenham

He has been hailed for his rapid speed and skill since his breakthrough season in 2021-22 and has since emerged as one of the most promising players in Europe.

The Belgium international made his senior debut for his nation earlier this year in a Euro 2024 qualifier against Sweden and has since featured in all but one of their games - scoring his first international goal against Estonia.
