Rangers are open to offers for defender Lewis Mayo before the January window closes, sources have told Football Insider.

The centre-back, 22, is currently on loan at Kilmarnock and has made 26 appearances in all competitions for the Rugby Park outfit.

It is believed that a number of clubs in Scotland and England are interested in Mayo, who is in the final 18 months of his contract at Ibrox.

The defender is in his fourth loan spell away from Ibrox and Rangers have told him he can move permanently this month.

Mayo has made 26 appearances for Kilmarnock this season - including 18 starts in the Scottish Premiership.

The Lenzie-born talent signed a new deal at Rangers before penning his temporary move to the promoted club last summer - meaning he is contracted until 2024.

Mayo, who is capped 11 times by Scotland at Under-21 level, spent last season on loan at Scottish Championship side Partick Thistle.

He also had a spell at Dunfermline Athletic for the 2020-21 season.

The defender is yet to make his senior debut for Rangers and has made the substitutes' bench a handful of times.

Mayo is among a number of younger talents who could be leaving Ibrox for good this month.
