Rangers are set to announce on Wednesday (31 August) that Adam Devine has agreed a new contract, sources have told Football Insider.

This site revealed on Monday (29 August) that the Ibrox giants have agreed extended terms with the right-back, 19.

The new deal is set to run for three years until 2025 and will replace his current agreement, which expires in the summer of 2023.

It is a major boost for the Ibrox giants, who regard Devine as a top talent capable of establishing himself in the first team in the coming years.

He made his third appearance for Rangers as he played the full 90 minutes in Tuesday's (30 August) 3-1 Scottish League Cup win over Queen of the South.

Devine was one of five Rangers youth team players handed new contracts in June of last year.

The defender made his senior debut as a 66th-minute substitute during a 2–0 win over Dundee United in May.

He has also had loan spells at Brechin City and Partick Thistle - making 11 appearances for the former and registering two assists.

Devine is behind only captain James Tavernier in the Gers pecking order following the departure of youngster Nathan Patterson to Everton in January.

Rangers have qualified for the Champions League group stage and will get their campaign underway against Ajax next week (7 September).

The Ibrox club sit two points adrift of rivals Celtic in the Scottish Premiership despite enjoying an unbeaten start to the 2022-23 campaign.

The two sides face off on Saturday (3 September) in the first Old Firm clash of the season.
