Man United are actively monitoring the situation of red-hot Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez, sources have told Football Insider.

The 25-year-old has been linked with a Premier League move for several years due to his goalscoring exploits in Serie A.

Erik ten Hag's side will be in the market for a prolific striker capable of catapulting Man United into the title race for the 2023-24 campaign.

Football Insider revealed on Tuesday (9 May) that Tottenham striker Harry Kane is the “number one priority and top target” for United as he enters the final year of his Spurs contract.

Meanwhile, the Red Devils are set to pull the plug on their pursuit of Napoli star Victor Osimhen as they believe his £100million+ price tag is too extortionate.

There are concerns behind the scenes about Osimhen's lack of Premier League experience, as well as his patchy injury record.
