Stefan de Vrij has agreed a new Inter Milan deal after snubbing interest from West Ham, sources have told Football Insider.

The east London club have been among the multiple clubs who have enquired about signing the defender, whose contract at the Serie A giants was expiring this summer.

But De Vrij, who turned 31 in February, has reached a full agreement on a new two-year Inter deal and is already believed to have signed the paperwork.

That is a huge boost to the Italian giants, where he has spent the last five years, and a blow to his English suitors.

De Vrij was attracted to a move to the Premier League, particularly the prospect of reuniting with his former Inter boss Antonio Conte.

The Italian pushed hard to sign the Holland international when he was in charge at Spurs but his controversial departure earlier this year ended that possibility.

West Ham also made contact over a potential deal for De Vrij as they look to recruit at least one senior centre-back this summer.

But he is not interested in joining David Moyes' side and will instead remain at San Siro.

He has mde 203 appearances in total for Inter since signing from Lazio in the summer of 2018 on a free transfer.

De Vrij made 22 Serie A starts among 38 appearances in all competitions for Inter last season but was an unused substitute in their Champions League final defeat to Man City.
