Sources: Tyler Adams could now agree Leeds United loan deal
Leeds United could sanction a loan exit for star midfielder Tyler Adams following their relegation, sources have told Football Insider.
This site revealed on Saturday (3 June) that the Whites are likely to find it hard to keep the 24-year-old as he wants to continue playing at the highest possible level.
However, it is believed Leeds will hold a degree of control - with Adams' long-term contract meaning it will take a big-money fee to prise him away from Elland Road.
Therefore, well-placed sources have told Football Insider that a loan exit could be the best solution - allowing him to supercharge his transfer value with another impressive season.
A temporary move would also open the door to a possible Leeds return should they restore their Premier League status in the 2023-24 season.
It is believed Bundesliga clubs are monitoring former RB Leipzig midfielder Adams ahead of a possible return to Germany in the summer window.
Premier League sides are also likely to express an interest in the United States international.
The midfielder’s current contract runs until 2027 following his reported £20million arrival just last summer (2022).
Adams, who earns a reported wage of £55,000-a-week at Elland Road, made 24 Premier League starts in 26 total appearances for Leeds in the 2022-23 campaign.
He was one of the Whites' standout stars before an injury curtailed his involvement for the season back in March.
The Whites are currently without a manager after confirming Sam Allardyce will not be kept on for the 2023-24 campaign.
