Crystal Palace are doing everything behind the scenes to keep Tottenham and Man United target Eberechi Eze at the club this summer, sources have told Football Insider.

Sources say Palace are determined to resist offers for the England international after losing Michael Olise to Bayern Munich for a reported fee of just over £50million.

Both clubs are long-term admirers of the midfielder's talent - which particularly shone through under the management of Oliver Glasner at Palace after his arrival earlier this year.

But in a blow to both sides, it is believed Glasner is determined to keep Eze - as well as defender Marc Guehi - with sources saying "optimism is high" at Selhurst Park about the new campaign.

United and Spurs will both play Europa League football next term and could come in for the 26-year-old upon his return from the European Championships.

The ex-QPR star has made three substitute appearances at the tournament and has now amassed seven caps in total.

Eze made 26 starts in 31 total appearances for Crystal Palace last term with injury preventing him from playing a full role in the 2023-24 campaign.

He notched 11 goals and six assists in those outings.

The midfielder is under contract at Palace until June 2027 after penning a new deal in November of last year.
