Tottenham have pulled the plug on any potential move for Juventus’ Federico Chiesa, sources have told Football Insider.

Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed the Italy international is not on Tottenham’s transfer list.

There has been talk that Spurs are interested in the 26-year-old as he enters the final year of his contract, but it doesn’t look likely they will follow up on that.

Chiesa is available for £25million and has proven himself to be a top player internationally and at club level, which is attracting considerable interest from various clubs.

Juventus are willing to offload the winger for the right price due to his contract situation, but the player is looking for a lucrative contract.

Sources claim that the Italian is looking for £8millon-a-year, which could be a stumbling block for some teams.

Despite having an abundance of wingers, Chelsea are interested in signing him before the transfer window shuts.

Tottenham will look past Federico Chiesa to bolster their attacking options

Even though Spurs are not in the running to sign Chiesa in this window, the Premier League outfit do want to sign an attacker before the window shuts.

Ange Postecoglou hopes to properly replace Harry Kane before the new campaign starts after using Heung-min Son out of position last season.
