Tottenham scouts are recommending the club lay the groundwork for a deal for EFL sensation Alex Scott amid fears multiple Premier League clubs will swoop for him this summer, sources have told Football Insider.

The Bristol City midfielder, 19, is on the radar of Spurs as they assess potential rising-star targets ahead of the summer.

Football Insider revealed on Monday that a scout from the Londoners was at City's 1-0 Championship win over Norwich City last Saturday to run the rule over Scott.

Spurs have been watching Scott for some time and are their scouts have delivered rave reviews about his huge promise.

The England Under-20 international is attracting Premier League interest due to his ability on the ball, quick feet and potential to quickly turn defence into attack.

Tottenham are compiling a dossier on Scott before deciding whether to make a move ahead of the summer. Everton and Leicester City have also been keeping close tabs on the teenager.

Scouts from the Premier League clubs are understood to have been blown away by the attacking midfielder, who has been dubbed the 'Guernsey Grealish' for his playing style and appearance.

He is a key attacking force for the mid-table Championship outfit and has supplied five league assists this season.

Remarkably, the youngster has failed to make the starting line-up for just one of their league fixtures all term and, in all competitions, has made 35 appearances.

Scott, who joined City's youth set-up from Guernsey in 2020, has already made 77 senior appearances.
