West Ham are on the verge of signing Gokhan Tore after Besiktas dropped their asking price by £4million, according to a report.

The Evening Standard claim Tore is the London club's top target as they plan to add two new wingers this summer.

Besiktas were demanding £17million last month for the former Chelsea youth player, who is a 26-capped Turkey international.

But it is said that negotiations are progressing smoothly after Besiktas decided to lower their demands for the 24-year-old.

The Standard cites reports in Turkey that a £13million deal is close to being finalised between the two clubs for Tore to move to West Ham during the summer window.

The right-winger has been a key player for Besiktas since his 2014 transfer from Rubin Kazan, scoring 15 goals and supplying 20 assists from his right wing position.

West Ham chiefs have made it publicly clear on a number of occasions in recent weeks that the club intend to reinforce their squad with at least six senior signings this summer as they aim to give Slaven Bilic an even stronger squad next season.

The Hammers' other principal winger target is reported to be Algeria international Sofiane Feghouli, who is available this summer on a free transfer.

Feghouli is a player of impressive pedigree, who has not only earned 40 international caps but also made 202 appearances for Spanish big hitters Valencia.

The 26-year-old has scored 33 goals and supplied 40 assists for Valencia, predominantly from his right flank position.

He was especially productive in the 2014-15 season when he scored six goals and weighed in with eights assists from his 33 La Liga matches.
