West Ham will sign a number of new players ahead of the new season as they look to build on Thursday's Europa League triumph, according to a well placed club insider.

Jack Sullivan, the son of the Hammers co-owner David Sullivan, claimed on his personal Twitter account on Friday morning that new faces will soon be added to the squad.

Sullivan junior has become renowned for providing insider information on transfer deals on Twitter shortly before they are announced by the official West Ham media outlets.

He sent his Twitter post the morning after the Hammers marked their first game at the Olympic Stadium with a 3-0 triumph over Domzale.

The Londoners left Upton Park after 112 years at the end of last sason and started a new chapter of the club’s history on by beating the Slovenian side to win the Europa League tie 4-2 on aggregate and qualify for the next stage of the competition.

This came after the Hammers lost the first leg of the tie 2-1 last week.

West Ham have already made five signings this summer, with Ashley Fletcher, Gokhan Tore, Sofiane Feghouli, Havard Nordtveit and Toni Martinez all added to Slaven Bilic’s squad.

They have been in the market for a proven striker all summer, but have so far failed to push through deals for the likes of Alexandre Lacazette, Carlos Tevez, Michy Batshauyi, Carlos Bacca, Christian Benteke and Andre Ayew.
