West Ham are working on convincing Man United’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka to join the club before the 31 August cut-off, sources have told Football Insider.

The Irons are in talks with the right-back’s camp over a deal for him this summer.

The 26-year-old will be allowed to leave Old Trafford this summer as he enters the final year of his contract.

Wan-Bissaka also has offers from Turkish giants Fenerbahce and Galatasaray to consider.

The former Crystal Palace star has been a regular at the Premier League giants since joining in 2019.

The right-back has played 190 times for United in all competitions but only made 22 Premier League appearances last season due to injuries.

West Ham view Aaron Wan-Bissaka as an ideal replacement for Ben Johnson

The Irons are in the market for a new right-back after Ben Johnson exited the club earlier this summer.

Wan-Bissaka is West Ham’s current top target, even though the 20-time champions are expected to make a “huge” loss in selling him.

Julen Lopetegui is revamping the Hammers squad this summer and has already bolstered his defence by signing Max Kilman.

Wan-Bissaka isn’t the only first-team defender set to leave Old Trafford in the summer clear out.

Football Insider reported that experienced centre-backs Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof will also be allowed to leave.
