Turkish club line up lucrative deal to rival Everton for Euro 2016 star - report

By Dominic Toner

Turkish giants Galatasaray are the latest club to be linked with a move for Welsh sensation Hal Robson Kanu, according to a report.

The forward is currently a free agent after his contract with Championship club Reading came to an end and his heroics in Euro 2016 has caught the attention of many suitors.

Turkish publication Milliyet cited by Caught Offside, claim that the Turkish Super League champions are pursuing the signature of Robson-Kanu and are preparing a lucrative offer to secure the deal.

Football Insider reported that Everton are also interested in the 27-year-old and hope to bring him to the Premier League.

Robson-Kanu could not prevent his side’s exit in the semi-finals against Portugal on Wednesday, but his memorable goal against Belgium at the quarter-final stage appears to have done enough for him to pick up a new club.

In the last domestic season he grabbed five goals and seven assists in 35 appearances as Reading finished 17th.

Robson-Kanu will be leaving the club he has been at since 2007 and in that time he has racked up over 200 appearances for them and scored 30 goals.

New Everton boss Ronald Koeman has a £100million transfer sum to spend this summer and the London-based attacker could provide some versatility to the squad.

Although he has lead the line for Wales at Euro 2016 he can also operate on the left-wing, something he has done on numerous occasions at Reading.

In the latest Everton transfer news, a midfield sensation will snub Chelsea and Serie A clubs for a move to Goodison Park.
