West Ham fans react on Twitter to Jack Sullivan deadline-day post

By Alex Taylor

Jack Sullivan has given West Ham fans hope of securing another signing this summer – and fans have taken to Twitter to express their hope a top player could be joining.

The Son of West Ham owner David Sullivan has often provided fans with updates on player transfers, medicals and injuries throughout this summer and left Hammers fans wondering after his latest social media post.

Sullivan delivered the teasing message on his personal Twitter account on Wednesday morning, in the build-up to the 11pm transfer deadline.

Some fans seemed unhappy with the news, believing the club have already made enough signings this summer, while others took the opportunity to urge Slaven Bilic’s side to pull a big name out of the bag.

Here is how Twitter users responded to the news:

Despite the fact Sullivan’s message was vague and it remains unclear who, if anyone, West Ham are hoping to sign, it has not stopped supporters getting excited over the message.

Alongside the signing of Ayew and Manuel Lanzini’s transfer being made permanent, Bilic has also completed deals for Sofiane Feghouli, Havard Nordtveit, Ashley Fletcher, Gökhan Töre, Jonathan Calleri, Simone Zaza, Edimilson Fernandes and Arthur Masuaku this summer.

In other West Ham transfer news, defender Reece Burke has joined Championship side Wigan on loan.
