Pontus Jansson played in Leeds’ 1-0 loss to Huddersfield on Saturday – and fans took to Twitter to praise his performance.
Gary Monk’s side suffered their fourth defeat from six games in the Championship and ended the day’s fixtures 22nd in the table.
Summer signing Jansson, 25, emerged from the game with an stronger defensive reputation though, despite being part of a team that lost the match through a 55-minute Aaron Mooy strike.
Leeds fans were saddened by the result but took to social media to praise the 6ft 5in centre-back.
Here are a collection of the best Tweets in regards to the defenders performance:
I think Jansson is quality and we have something to build on. Keep faith in Garry Monk and we'll do alright.

Highlights from today's game: Jansson looks decent. And the fish from Graveley's was delicious. Too many negatives to list #lufc

Monk has now overseen losses to Queens Park Rangers, Birmingham, Nottingham Forest and Huddersfield in his brief time in charge of the Whites and will now be hoping for a swift change of fortunes at Elland Road.
The Yorksire outfit had been touted as potential play-off challengers this season but early form suggests promotion may already been out of reach.
Ex-defender Monk, who was sacked by Swansea in December 2015, had never managed a Championship side before this season.
Leeds will now be preparing themselves to face Blackburn on Tuesday evening before making the long trip to play Cardiff next weekend.
