Galatasaray and Olympiacos are both reportedly interested in signing Kevin Mirallas as the winger continues to lack game time at Everton, according to a report.
Nieuwsblad claims that Mirallas is “certain” to leave the Toffees as he has only made five appearances in the Premier League this season.
The winger reportedly favours a move to Olympiacos having had a successful spell with them before, but it’s thought Galatasaray will be able to make a better offer.
Despite the report claiming that the winger is “certain” to leave, Mirallas is contracted to Everton until 2020.
Mirallas has made 186 appearances for the Toffees since joining them in 2012, scoring 38 goals.
Football Insider Verdict
Mirallas has had an successful spell at Everton, but that doesn’t include this season. The winger is now clearly surplus to requirements and it’s best for all parties if he moves on. As Galatasaray are interested in the winger, Everton might be able to get a respectable amount for the player who has hardly played this season. The move will probably occur in January as Allardyce aims to bring in his own players, and being able to sell Mirallas will free up funds. The only problem with this deal is if Mirallas beds in about a move to Olympiacos.
