Injured Leeds player out of Brighton clash sends message to teammates

By Harvey Byrne

Young full-back Tyler Denton has wished his teammates luck on Instagram ahead of Leeds’ clash against Brighton.

The 21-year-old is currently out injured and hasn’t featured for the first team since the 1-0 FA Cup defeat against Sutton in January.

He also hasn’t featured in a single league match for the Yorkshire giants’ senior side this season.

However, ahead of Saturday’s encounter against the Seagulls he wished his teammates well on Instagram, while also stating that he was looking forward to getting up to fitness.

Denton is a product of the famous Leeds academy, marking his senior debut for the club with a starting role against Luton in the EFL Cup earlier in the season.

He has since played two more times for the first team with Charlie Taylor and Gaetano Berardi currently ahead of him in the senior left-back pecking order.

With just nine matches of the season left it is unlikely that he will play a further part in this campaign, but he will surely be urging his side onto promotion from the sidelines.

In other Leeds news, Liam Bridcutt has predicted a brilliant career for this Whites summer addition.
