'Unbelievable' - Exclusive: Brown backs Rangers to replace Morelos with 21-yr-old
Michael Brown has claimed that Bordeaux striker Josh Maja should jump at the chance to join an “unbelievable” club like Rangers.
Speaking exclusively Football Insider, the former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder suggested that the 21-year-old could use a switch to Ibrox as a “fantastic platform” to further his career.
Football Insider revealed earlier in the week that the Gers are considering the Nigeria international as a potential replacement for star man Alfredo Morelos should he leave in the summer.
The former Sunderland man has struggled for game time since making the move to France last January, starting just six Ligue 1 matches this term.
And Brown believes that a move to Glasgow could prove to be mutually beneficial for both the club and the player.
Speaking to Football Insider, he said: “It’s like any player, if you find that place where you feel comfortable and you’re scoring goals, it is a fantastic platform.

“Unbelievable support, well-run club – who wouldn’t be interested in a move to Rangers? Anybody would be. It’s an opportunity.
“Steven Gerrard will be looking at what kind of player he needs to bridge this gap, because he did well for a long period and then they fell away. But he’ll be looking right at it.”
Maja has hit eight goals in 24 appearances in all competitions for Bordeaux, as well as registering three assists.
Despite his respectable strike rate, however, he has managed just one league start since Christmas, scoring in a 1-1 draw against St. Etienne at the beginning of March.
