'Unreal', 'Incredible' - Tottenham fans rave over youngster in win v Real Madrid

By Russell Edge

Tottenham fans were left ecstatic on social media after the performance of midfielder Harry Winks in the club’s impressive victory over Real Madrid on Wednesday.

The Lilywhites dominated the current Champions League holders in their European clash at Wembley, with a double from Dele Alli and a strike from Christian Eriksen securing a 3-1 win over the Spanish giants.

It is the first time that Spurs have beaten Real in any competition, and it was youngster Harry Winks who caught the eye of many in the midfield.

Fans took to Twitter to voice their adulation over the 21-year-old’s display against a midfield packed with international talent, including Germany star Toni Kroos and former Tottenham man Luka Modric.

Having broken into the first team as a result of an injury crisis for manager Mauricio Pochettino, Winks has established himself as a key member of the squad, with 12 appearances under his belt this season.

Of those outings eight have come in the starting XI, and he has kept his place despite the return of Mousa Dembele after the Belgian’s injury layoff.

He has also gone on to earn his very first cap for England this campaign, making his debut against Lithuania in October.
