Vinnie Jones predicts Leeds v Birmingham

By Harvey Byrne

Former Leeds midfielder Vinnie Jones has predicted a Leeds win for their Friday evening Championship clash with Birmingham.

The Yorkshire giants have travelled to the Midlands which will see them take on Gianfranco Zola’s team at St. Andrews.

It is essential that Leeds pick up all three points with 12 games left in the campaign to ensure they achieve a play-off finish once the season ends.

Now, former ace Jones has shown on his personal Twitter account that he believes Garry Monk’s side will achieve victory in a comfortable 2-0 win.

Leeds are currently in indifferent form with two victories, one draw and two losses coming from their last five league matches.

Their last outing saw them achieve a crucial 1-0 victory over play-off rivals Sheffield Wednesday at Elland Road and they will be hoping to start a winning run.

Three points on Friday evening will see them remain in fourth place, but they could open up the gap between themselves and fifth placed Reading to four points, while closing the gap on Huddersfield in third to just one.

Meanwhile, Birmingham picked up a victory in their last match, but before that they were on a dreadful run of three straight defeats and this could be the perfect away game for Leeds in the run in to the season’s end.
