'Well done to the owners' - Exclusive: Bent hails Sullivan & Gold after West Ham signing

Darren Bent has hailed West Ham owners David Sullivan and David Gold for putting up the money for the last-gasp Jarrod Bowen signing.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-England and Premier League striker is convinced the 23-year-old wide forward can make a big impact at the London Stadium.

West Ham announced Bowen as their third and newest January signing late on transfer deadline day at the end of last week.

He has joined from Hull City in a deal worth a potential £22million including add-ons.

“It was a positive that they nabbed him from Crystal Palace,” Bent told Football Insider.

“Well done to the owners for pulling that off. He has to go straight into the team because he is a very good player.

“He was flying for Hull and what he injects into that team which they have been missing is pace. Hopefully, he can hit the ground running.”
