Wenham makes 'really excited' Skipp claim as Tottenham sensation set for new status next year
Oliver Skipp proved he is the future of Tottenham with another mature performance against Newcastle.
That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
Skipp, 21, was restored to the starting lineup as Tottenham beat Newcastle 3-2 on Sunday.
This was his eighth Premier League appearance of the season as he continues to impress.
According to WhoScored, Skipp pulled off a passing masterclass completing 96.1% of his attempted passes against the Magpies.
This helped Tottenham transition up the pitch, something that left Wenham impressed after the final whistle.

“Skipp was probably the man of the match against Newcastle,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“He screened our back four really well and transitioned with the ball really well.
“It was no surprise to me to see him come straight back in, we looked an awful lot better.
“I’ve said before, I think he is the future of this Tottenham team and he proves it every time he plays.
“From next season he will count as homegrown and club trained, he’s such a valuable asset.
“A midfield three of Skipp, Hojbjerg and Ndombele, as long as he plays as he did on Sunday, is really exciting.”
Skipp was dropped for Spurs’ recent losses against Arsenal and Chelsea.
He initially returned to the side for the recent win over Aston Villa at the expense of Dele Alli.
