West Brom tipped to re-sign Yokuslu in 'real coup' after talks update - pundit
It would be a “real coup” if West Brom could re-sign Okay Yokuslu after he shone on loan with them last season.
That is according to ex-Premier League goalkeeper Paul Robinson, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the 27-year-old Celta Vigo midfielder.
Spanish outlet Faro de Vigo reported on 4th July that the Baggies have held talks with Celta over signing the Turk on a permanent deal.
Yokuslu was unable to stop Albion’s relegation but shone across 16 appearances after joining on loan for the second half of 2020-21.
The Baggies are under new management in the form of Valerien Ismael and Alex Mowatt has already been recruited to strengthen the midfield.
Robinson insisted that Yokuslu would represent a stellar signing for West Brom if they can tempt him back to the Hawthorns.

“I’d be surprised if he doesn’t interest Premier League teams,” he told Football Insider correspondent Adam Williams.
“I think he was by head and shoulders their best player last season. He’s definitely a Premier League-standard player.
We talk about Pereira, we talk about Johnstone but he was their best player sitting in that holding midfield role. “
“So if West Brom can persuade him to come and join a Championship team then he would be a real coup for them.“
Yokuslu, a 35 cap international, featured three times for his country during their disappointing Euros campaign this summer.
He has turned out 72 times for Celta Vigo since signing from Trabzonspor in 2018 and has two years remaining on his contract in Spain.
