West Ham agree to terminate defender deal - Sky Sports

West Ham and Borussia Monchengladbach have reached an agreement to terminate Reece Oxford’s loan deal in Germany, according to a report.
Sky Sports claims that Oxford, 18, is set to return to the London Stadium after failing to make a single appearance for Moncengladbach after he joined them on a season-long deal in the summer transfer window.
Oxford has been on the bench for every Bundesliga game and was injured for a German Cup clash which would have likely seen him play otherwise.
The England Under-20 defender is highly rated by the West Ham fans and many believe that he could have a role to play in the first-team with Slaven Bilic’s current centre-back options struggling to make a good impression.
He spent last season on loan at Reading, where he also spent a lot of time on the bench, but has already made 16 senior appearances for the Hammers.

ESPN has reported that Oxford will return to West Ham in December but will not be eligible to play for them until January due to FIFA restrictions.
Football Insider Verdict
West Ham need to pull their finger out regarding Oxford because they are jeopardizing his development with these awful loan spells they are sending him out on. The centre-back shouldn’t be going anywhere unless he is first choice, anything less and his time is better spent on the fringe of the Hammers squad. Bilic hasn’t been using Oxford but as the season progresses, injuries and poor could seep into his usual centre-back options so the teenager could earn a call up to the first-team. This will probably be the last time West Ham send someone out on loan to Monchengladbach.
In other West Ham news, this 25-year-old has been ruled out of the clash with Swansea.
