West Ham agree two new deals - club insider

By Will Butcher

West Ham are close to announcing two new signings after having bids accepted for two unnamed players, according to a report.

The Hammers are being linked with a host of names as boss Slaven Bilic looks to bring in depth ahead of the new campaign, which includes the added fixture list of the Europa League.

A columnist called ‘The Insider’ has claimed on the official West Ham website that the club have two new deals lined up.

The East London outfit have most recently been linked with moves for South American striker Jonathan Calleri, Real Madrid star James Rodriguez and Carlos Bacca.

However, The Insider did reveal that putting pen to paper for these two unnamed players is a long way off. It stated that The Hammers are finding it difficult to convince the calibre of player they are seeking to agree terms without the lure of Champions League football.

The report also revealed that there is no deal in place to sign AC Milan striker Bacca despite extensive talks taking place.

Football Insider reported on Saturday that Bacca had said no to an Olympic Stadium move.

This will come as a blow to The Hammers’ fans, who are desperate for a striker to sign with Enner Valencia and Diafra Sakho edging ever closer to the exit door.

Bilic has had success in the transfer market, bringing in Gokhan Tore, Sofiane Feghouli, Havard Nordtveit and Manchester United striker Ashley Fletcher.

In other West Ham news, David Gold has told fans to remain upbeat.
