West Ham are reportedly interested in signing Sunderland defender Lamine Kone – and the club’s supporters are furious on Twitter with the idea.
The Daily Mirror claim that the Londoners are keen on securing the 28-year-old after eyeing him in the last two transfer windows.
The report details that Slaven Bilic is keen to bolster his defensive ptions in the summer and they will make a fresh move for Sunderland’s Kone.
West Ham fans were angry on social media after being linked with the centre-back and feel that the club’s youngster should get a chance next season, instead.
Here is a selection of their message:

Kone inspired Sunderland to avoid relegation last season from top flight and that alerted the Hammers to his potential.
The Ivory Coast international is recognised for being a powerful defender that is dominant in the air and has a quick turn of pace.
However, he has been unable to prevent David Moyes’ side slip this season and is facing relegation from the Premier League in the face.
Kone has made 26 appearances so far this campaign and has been unable to stop Sunderland ship goals.
West Ham currently have Jose Fonte, James Collins, Reece Oxford as their centre-back options, but the Hammers have also struggled defensively.
The Hammers are hopeful of competing at the top-end of the table and fans are sceptical whether Kone has the skills to improve them.
