West Ham have decided to take a warm-weather training break to Miami with their next Premier League fixture not due to take place until the end of the month against Southampton.
The match is going to be one of the most important this season for the East Londoners as they bid to remain in the top flight.
After a pitch invasion against Burnley added to the club’s plight last time out, it would have been fair to say that a sunny trip across the Atlantic would not have been the best suggestion for a team in turmoil, but that’s exactly what they’ve gone and done.
And the photos of Andy Carroll in particular, further infuriated the Irons faithful, who felt that a player who has spent most of his career in the capital on the sidelines, should have been kept away from the jovialities.

The 29-year-old has only played 14 times this season and hasn’t featured since the start of January. In 2016/17 his record wasn’t much better with just 22 outing throughout the campaign.
Luckily for the Hammers, the player’s contract comes to an end of 2018/19 so if they don’t offload him this season, at least he should be gone next summer.
Here is a selection of fan reactions enraged by the Hammers forward:
I just cannot get my head around who thought it was a good idea for the West Ham United squad & Andy Carroll to go to Miami. If warm weather training is a must then go somewhere in Europe. Miami is way too exotic. Some players would rather go there than stay in the FA Cup I’m sure

Andy Carroll has been injured most of his West Ham career, blames fans for leaving early even though he leaves early himself is currently sunning himself in Miami.

The West Ham crowd is often referred to as the 12th man, so where's our free trip to Miami?

Good to see Andy Carroll there. He must be exhausted with all the games he’s played.

Shouldn't be going on a free holiday with the Wags and Andy Carroll. Funny how he hasn't been seen at Rush Green til he gets the sniff of a potentional jolly up he's the first on the plane. Not really helping themselves amid everthing.
