West Ham fans react on Twitter to Sky report about Bilic decision

By Matt Farr

West Ham have reportedly handed under-pressure manager Slaven Bilic their full support – but fans remain divided over the decision.

Sky Sports claim on their website that Hammers chiefs retain faith in the Croatian in the wake of a series of results that have thrust his future into the spotlight.

The Hammers boss has come under increasing pressure for his side’s abysmal start to the season, which has left them 17th in the Premier League – just one point ahead of the relegation places.

Bilic’s side have won just three of their 14 league games, and have failed to earn a victory since the 2-1 EFL cup victory over Chelsea on October 26.

However, after hearing of the Sky Sports report, West Ham fans have voiced their opinions on Twitter, but they remain divided as to whether or not the correct decision was made.

Several groups with the Hammers’ fan base have called for a change of personnel, with Bilic failing to repeat his excellent work from last season; while others believe that Bilic deserves more time, instead landing the blame on the players and the board.

Here are some of their messages on Twitter:

Bilic now has an opportunity to turn West Ham’s season around when they face a Liverpool side on Sunday that were beaten 4-3 by Bournemouth at the weekend.

Must-win games against Burnley, Hull and Swansea follow ahead of the new year, as West Ham seek to turn their season around and put an end to talk of them being relegated to the Championship.

In other West Ham news, Rio Ferdinand has delivered a two-word verdict on West Ham’s performance against Arsenal on Saturday.
