West Ham are on the verge of completing their second signing of the summer with Joe Hart reportedly completing a medical – and the Irons fans on Twitter are excited about the news.
Sky Sports reported on their live transfer blog on Saturday [09:01am] that the 30-year-old is likely to be announced as a Hammers player within a few hours after passing his medical.
It is understood that the Premier League star will join up with Slaven Bilic’s squad on a season-long loan deal, with the east London outfit having the option to make the his stay permanent next summer.
He will be joining up with the Irons’ only other summer recruit, who is no doubt a familiar face to the England international goalkeeper.
Right-back Pablo Zabaleta become West Ham’s first signing of the transfer window when he joined on a fee transfer from Man City following his release.
West Ham have relatively weak options between the sticks with Darren Randolph and Adrian, and the strengthening of the area is no doubt a huge boost to the London Stadium faithful, who took to Twitter to express their delight – with one saying that his signing is a stroke of “genius”.
Here is a selection of their tweets:
IMO dont see how everyone can moan or not agree that hart is a great signing him and zabaleta will strengthen our defense so much. ⚒#COYI

Hart’s career at Man City has been cast into doubt ever since Pep Guardiola’s arrival at the Etihad and he spent last season on loan in Serie A with Torino, where he largely failed to put to bed the bad form he highlighted at Euro 2016 with England last summer.
