West Ham fans react on Twitter as club completes striker deal

By Will Butcher

West Ham fans have reacted in hilarious fashion on Twitter after striker Simone Zaza left to join Spanish side Valencia.

The 25-year-old has cancelled his loan with the Hammers in order to join the La Liga side for the second half of the season on a temporary basis from Italian champions Juventus.

Sky Sports revealed the move on their official Twitter account, which sees the former Sassuolo striker finally end his nightmare stay in east London.

The news was confirmed on the official Valencia Twitter page on Sunday.

In his 11 league and cup appearances in claret and blue, Zaza flopped and he failed to find the back of the net once during the Hammers dismal start to the Premier League season.

West Ham fans were delighted to see the back of the Italy international on Twitter, with some claiming that his departure could make room for a new signing.

Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Zaza joins a side that are falling way below expectations, sitting in seventeenth position and just four points above the drop zone.

The striker will be hoping he can rediscover his form that saw him earn a move to Juventus back in the summer of 2015 to fire Valencia away from a relegation dog fight.
