West Ham fans have reacted negatively on Twitter after Dimitri Payet scored his first goal in his second spell with Marseille from a free-kick.
The 29-year-old, who rejoined Marseille for £25million in the final stages of the January transfer window, scored as Marseille secured a 2-0 win over Guingamp.
His free-kick, which was central to the goal and about 25 yards out, deflected off the wall and wrong-footed goalkeeper Yohann Pele as the ball bounced into the other side of the net.
In what was his second appearance since moving back to Marseille, Payet looked delighted as he wheeled off to celebrate his 16th career goal for Marseille.
West Ham fans weren’t happy with the goal, after Payet turned his back on the club and forced a move back to France, although several pointed out the empty stadium and called Ligue 1 a “boring league”.
Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:

I suppose we're going to get Payet mentioned every time he scores for OM. Do we really care, he's history & scoring in a poor league! #COYI⚒

Is Payet scared of crowds? Is that why he left?

Since his move to West Ham back in the summer of 2015 for £10.7million, Payet made 66 league and cup appearances in claret and blue.
Scoring an impressive 18 goals for the Hammers, the Euro 2016 runner up also managed to provide 25 assists for the London outfit.
In other West Ham news, manager Slaven Bilic has received a huge boost ahead of Saturday’s clash against West Brom.
