West Ham fans on Twitter have shared their concerns over centre-back duo Jose Fonte and James Collins in the starting line-up to face Arsenal on Wednesday evening.
The pair have been named in Slaven Bilic’s back four to face the Gunners at the Emirates Stadium with Angelo Ogbonna and Winston Reid currently out injured.
The West Ham back line has come under fire in recent times, conceding 10 goals in their last four meetings.
Additionally, they have won just one of their last eight Premier League clashes which has left them in 15th place in the table.
January signing Fonte was brought in during the winter window in an attempt to improve the back line, while the experienced Collins has been a solid servant for West Ham during his time at the club.
However, fans on social media are now worried about how they will fare against a strong team like Arsenal, especially with their lack of pace.
Here are a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Having James Collins and Jose Fonte as your central defenders, you may as well play with just two full backs ffs

Providing that Arsenal forward 4 doesn't run centrally I think we might do alright. Pace Vs Fonte & Collins is worrying #arswhu

West Ham will be keen to improve before they get themselves dragged into the relegation, while they will also be eager to ensure they don’t fall to another 5-1 defeat against the Gunners like in December.
