West Ham installed frontrunners to sign dazzling striker lighting up top flight - betting update
West Ham United have been installed as frontrunners to sign striker Moussa Dembele from Celtic, according to the latest bookmakers’ odds.
BetVictor have the Hammers priced at 6/1 to seal a swoop for the 21-year-old before the end of the January transfer window.
Premier League champions Chelsea are the current favourites to sign the Frenchman at 5/1, with the Hammers joint-second favourites with Fiorentina and Brighton.
The Daily Record reported that Dembele has admitted for the first time that he could leave Celtic in January and the forward has caught the eye of a number of Premier League clubs.
Dembele scored 17 goals in just 29 appearances for Celtic in the Premiership last season and despite injuries this season, has added four in just nine games in the top flight.

Dembele would be a sensational signing for West Ham and their new manager David Moyes. The Hammers’ are currently in the Premier League’s bottom three and struggling for goals – Dembele could be the man to fire them up the league table. The France Under-21 star has scored eight goals in 17 appearances for Celtic in all competitions this season, in what has been an injury-hit campaign. He also has Champions League experience for the Hoops and will continue to improve as a player in the English top flight. However, Celtic are under no pressure to sell their striker and value him at £30million. West Ham also face a challenge from some of the bigger Premier League clubs and it is hard to visualise the Frenchman favouring a move to the London Stadium, if the likes of Chelsea or Liverpool come calling. However, it would be a stunning transfer if they could pull it off.
In other West Ham news, the Hammers have reached an agreement to sign this Premier League enforcer.
