West Ham should raid PL rivals to solve problem area after reported Bundesliga deal

West Ham should try to sign Arsenal left-back Kieran Gibbs after news that the Gunners have reportedly completed a deal to sign Schalke’s Sead Kolasinac.
According to Bosnian news outlet Reprezentacija, the Gunners have agreed a pre-contract deal with the Bundesliga player, meaning that the club are set to have three left-backs in the summer.
Nacho Monreal has been Arsene Wenger’s first choice to play in the role this season, leaving the door open for West Ham to raid their Premier League rivals for Gibbs.
The Irons are in desperate need of a new set of full-backs.
Aaron Cresswell has been dire this season and his only competition is Arthur Masuaku who, despite playing well against Swansea last week, can’t be relied upon to become Slaven Bilic’s main man.

Gibbs, 27, has played just 17 times across all competitions for Arsenal this season.
He has been criminally underused in the Premier League, making just three starts and three appearances as a substitute.
This is an England international that Bilic should be looking to sign that has bags of experience of not only top-flight football but also of winning trophies.
It hasn’t worked out for him at Arsenal for a number of reasons, but Gibbs is good enough to shine for West Ham as they look to rebuild after a miserable season.
West Ham also need to be on the lookout for a new right-back with Sam Byram’s constant injury woes and a lack of depth in the role.
It’s going to be a big summer for the Hammers, who need to make amends for what has been a desperately underwhelming campaign so far.
Doubts surround the future of Bilic but if he stays he needs to make Gibbs one of his top targets in the transfer window.
