West Ham takeover ‘not immediate’ as Amanda Staveley prepares bid
West Ham United are among three Premier League clubs who have been lined up for a takeover by Amanda Staveley.
That is according to ex-Everton, Aston Villa, and Aberdeen chief executive Keith Wyness, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, who believes that Staveley will be eyeing up any club with whom she could launch a takeover bid.
It has been revealed that Staveley is currently looking to gain the support of American backers to put together an investment package to buy West Ham.
There could be an opportunity to buy the club from David Sullivan if the Hammers suffer Premier League relegation this season.
Staveley would inherit a host of financial problems at West Ham, but the fanbase would welcome a takeover, having protested heavily against Sullivan’s ownership of the club.

Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast, Wyness is not predicting Staveley to take over a Premier League club soon.

He told Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast: “Amanda keeps cropping up.
“She’s also been linked with a bid for Newcastle this week as well. So there’s three clubs. She’s saying that if PIF aren’t going to be there, then she would go back in.
“We know that she’s been looking at Spurs for a while, and certainly with West Ham, she’ll be linked with any club that may have some potential movement around. She’ll be there.
“We know Amanda’s got some decent banking contacts, and she has the ability to raise some funds, but perhaps it is not as immediate as I think it’s going to happen.”
Expert stunned by Daniel Kretinsky and David Sullivan moves at West Ham
There has been movement behind-the-scenes at West Ham in recent weeks following the sudden departure of vice-chair Karren Brady.
Brady’s exit has meant Daniel Kretinsky has assumed the role of vice-chair and is now preparing to increase his shares in the club.
Former Manchester City financial advisor Stefan Borson told Football Insider that Kretinsky and Sullivan have made a surprising decision buying more shares in West Ham considering the club could suffer Premier League relegation.
