West Ham target Doig tipped to join club this week after reveal via Sky - Campbell
West Ham target Josh Doig will “definitely” leave Hibernian this summer and his exit will likely be completed this week.
That is the view of former Arsenal and Everton striker Kevin Campbell, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the 19-year-old potentially moving to the Premier League.
The teenage left-back was left out of the Hibs squad who won 3-2 over Motherwell last weekend.
Speaking to Sky Sports on August 1st, Hibs boss Jack Ross revealed Doig would be leaving the club “soon” amid concrete interest from English sides.
According to The Times (17th July), the Hammers are in a race with Arsenal, Manchester City and Celtic to sign the full-back.
When asked by Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs for his assessment of the latest, Campbell said “Oh, Josh Doig is definitely off.

“The type of money Hibs are asking for him is peanuts to Premier League teams.
“I just think the writing is on the wall for him. A deal will be done this week, I’m sure.
“A number of Premier League clubs are after him and one of them will get it over the line. It is not one I can see dragging out.”
It is widely reported that Hibs will command a fee of between £4-5million for their star left-back.
Doig made 35 appearances across all competitions last season on his way to scooping the SFWA Young Player of the Year award.
