Daniel Kretinsky wants to 'take out' David Sullivan at West Ham - 'it's a lot of money'

Daniel Kretinsky will want rid of David Sullivan after becoming the majority shareholder at West Ham United recently.

That is according to former Manchester City financial adviser Stefan Borson, who exclusively told Football Insider that the Czech billionaire is likely looking for a new partner at the London Stadium.

Kretinsky currently owns about 43 per cent after reaching an agreement to purchase the Gold family shares, becoming the decision-maker in East London.

While Sullivan continues to own part of the club, he has stepped down indefinitely to battle "factually incorrect and entirely false" allegations against him.

The entire situation has left several question marks hanging over the London Stadium, with supporters questioning if new owners could come aboard in the not-too-distant future.

Rumours of Amanda Staveley, formerly of Newcastle United, joining the club have resurfaced, but currently, they're nothing more than just that.

Daniel Kretinsky to want rid of David Sullivan

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, Borson is adamant that Kretinsky will want to find a new partner, or at least push his current one out as soon as possible.

"I think Kretinsky is definitely going be looking for somebody to take out the Sullivan ownership if possible," he said.

"I don't think they're going to want the Sullivan family involved if they can help it, which could mean that Kretinsky takes Sullivan's stake, but it's a lot of money.

"Or they find a partner to come alongside them, a new partner. I don't think Kretinsky wants to sell. I think it's hard to find somebody who's going to buy West Ham."

With Sullivan acquiring his stake in West Ham all the way back in 2010, this would be a huge moment in the club's history, so decisions must be thoroughly considered first.

What's the latest on Amanda Staveley?

Staveley was a hugely important figure at St James' Park before PIF's takeover, and some fans are desperate for her to come aboard.

She was spotted at the London Stadium quite recently, but the media poured cold water over rumours of her involvement, understanding that she was simply there for a concert.

It has been revealed that Staveley and her husband, Mehrdad Ghodoussi, are actively seeking a new challenge, with the former refusing to totally rule out a deal with the Hammers.

For now, Kretinsky remains the main decision-maker at the London Stadium, and he has a huge job on his hands during the summer transfer window, especially.
