'I'm told Nuno Espirito Santo has binned Pablo from West Ham plans for Championship promotion bid'
West Ham United are prepared to accept a cut-price offer for Pablo as they aim to move him on in the summer transfer window.
The striker's signing in January was met with questions after the Hammers spent £24million on a player who had joined Gil Vicente for £220,000 just six months earlier.
As a result, they now look set to lose money on his sale this summer, with no club prepared to match the inflated fee they paid in desperation mid-way through the season.
Former West Ham scout Mick Brown told Football Insider that the club are now expected to cut their losses on Pablo and he plays no part in Nuno Espirito Santo's plans.
Since his move to the London Stadium in January, the 22-year-old made 17 appearances, most of which came from the start, but failed to score a single goal.
Following their relegation to the Championship, West Ham are now planning to shift a number of fringe players, with Pablo likely to be among them.
Could West Ham accept a new offer for Pablo?
Football Insider shared reports on 11 June that Wolves could make a move to sign Pablo after they appointed his former manager Cesar Peixoto from Gil Vicente.
A potential reunion with his former boss could be on the cards, and could allow West Ham to move him on quickly rather than having to try to find a buyer.
His frustrating performances since joining in January have led to the Hammers looking to move him on, and a cut-price fee could now be enough.
"It will come as no surprise that West Ham are willing to let Pablo go this summer," Brown told Football Insider.
"I'm told he's not going to be part of the manager's plans next season, because he struggled in the six months he had in the Premier League.
"But they paid a crazy fee to bring him in during the January window, and there isn't a club in the world who will be willing to match that price now that they want to sell him.
"They'll have to accept an offer way below that if they want to move him on, but whatever money they do get, they'll want to reinvest it into the squad.
"It's difficult for West Ham, they want to sell these fringe players to raise money so that they can spend, but they'll be hard pushed to get big fees for them."
Why were concerns raised when West Ham signed Pablo?
West Ham spent a huge fee on Pablo in the January transfer window as they desperately tried to provide Nuno with better attacking options to strengthen his side.
Alongside Taty Castellanos, who by contrast was a successful signing, the Hammers hoped to duo would be enough to help them in the battle against relegation.
However, following the Portuguese's arrival, Brown warned Football Insider that West Ham must avoid becoming too influenced by agents given the money involved.
Super-agent Jorge Mendes was reported to have been heavily involed in Pablo's move to East London, raising concerns about why the price tag was so high.
Mendes was influential at Wolves during their successful rise into the Premier League, but his impact has been questioned given their recent collapse, and West Ham have now been warned.
