'Wow' - West Ham fans in raptures over Divine Mukasa signing permanently
West Ham United blew Wrexham away on Friday as they picked up a statement 6-0 victory against Wrexham.
It was an emphatic display against one of the promotion favourites as they showed the rest of the Championship why they should be fearful of the Hammers this season.
As a result, West Ham have now flown to the top of the table ahead of Saturday’s fixtures.
One of the key performers from the tie was Divine Mukasa, who once again put in an excellent display.
The midfielder has already won over the hearts of many of the London Stadium faithful after his brace in the 4-2 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers earlier this month.
Now, many West Ham fans want the club to make his loan move from Manchester City permanent as soon as possible.
West Ham fans want Divine Mukasa to sign permanently
Mukasa was a relatively unknown player when he signed on loan at West Ham late in the summer transfer window.
While the 19-year-old had been at the Hammers’ academy until 2023, he never made a first-team appearance before he was sold to Man City.
However, it has not taken long for Mukasa to become a star at the London Stadium this season, and he is no doubt one of the first names on the team sheet for Nuno Espirito Santo.
As a result, many fans have demanded that the club sign the midfielder permanently as soon as possible to ensure a player of his talents remains at the London Stadium.
How good was Mukasa vs Wrexham?
Like many of West Ham’s stars against Wrexham, Mukasa had a great game.
According to Fotmob on 12 September, he completed 87 per cent of his passes, completed six out of 13 through balls, made one block, one interception, nine recoveries and won both of his aerial duels.
Therefore, West Ham have no doubt got a great player on their hands, who could be a key difference-maker in the promotion race.
However, it remains to be seen if the Hammers are able to sign Mukasa on a permanent deal in the winter window or at the end of the campaign if his loan spell continues to be successful.
