West Ham are willing to cash in on Declan Rice this summer if a club matches their £70million price tag, Football Insider understands.
Manuel Pellegrini admitted at his media conference on Friday that Rice could leave and the Londoners would cash in on any of their stars if the deal was right for the player and the club.
A West Ham source has told Football Insider that, contrary to reports, Manchester United have not tabled a bid for Rice amid suggestions a £35million offer has been tabled.
However United, Manchester City and Tottenham are all keen on signing the 20-year-old England international after being blown away by his development this season.
The source claimed that West Ham do not want to sell Rice and are eager to build their team around him over the coming years but accept that all their players have a price that they do not have the resources to turn down.
Rice has leapfrogged the likes of star attackers Marko Arnautovic, Felipe Anderson and Manuel Lanzini to become West Ham’s prize asset as a result of his excellence in the midfield anchorman role this season.
Privately, the West Ham hierarchy would be willing to sell Rice this summer if a £70million bid is tabled for the rising star, who signed a new contract earlier this season that runs until 2024.
In other West Ham transfer news, it can be REVEALED the club are tabling an offer for a £75,000-a-week star with a CV to die for.
